Codeium became Windsurf and is now Devin Desktop (Cognition), an AI coding editor with autocomplete plus built-in coding agents. The free plan gives unlimited Tab autocomplete and inline edits plus a light daily agent quota - enough for casual student use.

• Student angle: an old Windsurf ~50% off Pro (.edu) offer existed, but the student page now redirects and it's unconfirmed under Devin - check their site
