How we use AI

On this website

StudentStack is written and run by two people. We use AI tools to help draft, organize, and check our text, the way we use a spell-checker, and a person decides everything that is published. Two things are never delegated to software: whether a deal is listed at all, and whether it is marked "Verified", which means one of us read the offer on the company's own page. What that label does and does not promise is explained on How we verify.

The "find my tool" helper on the site is a simple word-matching script that runs entirely in your browser. It is not an AI model, it sends nothing anywhere, and it stores nothing about you.

In our videos and social posts

Our short videos on TikTok and YouTube use AI-generated voices. The two characters are fictional, the scripts are written by us, and every claim in them about a tool comes from the same catalog as this site. We label the videos as containing AI-generated content wherever the platform provides a label, and the voices are not imitations of any real person.

About you

We do not use AI to make decisions about you, to profile you, or to analyze your data. The site collects almost nothing to begin with; see the Privacy Policy.

About the AI tools we list

This site describes other companies' AI products and their student pricing. We do not test those products' output for accuracy, and no AI tool is a substitute for your own judgment. Before relying on one for coursework, check your school's academic-integrity policy: many schools require you to disclose AI assistance, and some forbid it for particular assignments.

Report a mistake

Email is the fastest route for any privacy, copyright, or accuracy request. A dedicated address for StudentStack is being set up; until it is listed here, reply to any email StudentStack has sent you, and it reaches us. We answer within 10 business days, usually much sooner.

Deals change. Don't find out late
